동충하초 전시회를 맞이하며

 

어언 23년. 내가 동충하초와 함께 한 시간이다.

동총하초를 만나기 위해 나는 국내의 수많은 산과 계곡을 헤매었고

어린 시절의 꿈이었던 히말라야 산자락도 밟아 보았다.

그 세월 동안 동충하초는 나에게 많은 깨달음을 주었고

가슴 가득히 히말라야의 기운도 넣어 주었다.

동충하초가 곤충에 침입하는 방법을 보면서 나는 지혜로운 삶을 깨달았고,

동충하초가 발생하는 장소를 보면서 다시한번 환경보호의 소중함을 마음 깊이 느꼈으며,

동충하초의 일생으로부터 중생의 윤회와 수행자의 좌탈입망을 함께 보았다.

동충하초의 대량 생산 기술 개발로 산업화의 길을 열어 놓았고

항암효과가 있는 신물질인 militarin의 발견으로 무한한 연구 가능성을 열어주었고

손쉽게 복용할 수 있는 비로(秘露)의 개발로 많은 사람의 건강에 도움을 주게 되었다.

이제 동충하초는 단순한 연구대상을 넘어 나를 깨우치고 이끌어주는 스승이다.

나만의 깨달음이 아쉬워 동충하초가 많은 사람들 앞으로 나아가도록 하기 위해

다시 동충하초 전시회를 열어본다.

Welcome to the Insect Flower Exhibition

 

The past 23 years I have spent with the Insect Flower. I wandered countless numbers of mountains and gorges in Korea in search of Insect Flower. I have also watched the Himalaya range from a distance, which was a dreamland of my childhood. During the past time, Insect Flower has given me a sense of awakening. I was always filled up with the freshness of Himalaya. A feeling of wisdom comes when the infection process of Insect Flower is observed. Protection of nature is inevitable while looking at the habitat of Insect Flower. The birth and rebirth of Insect Flower and its life cycle gave the impression of dignity of human life. Mass production of Insect Flower has led to its commercialization. Novel anti-cancer compound 'Militarin' from Cordyceps militaris has opened the new era of research field. Production of 'Biro', which can be easily taken, helps many people restore their health. Insect Flower, being already awarded and praised by the scientific community, is now my master leading me to the future. In order to expose the essentiality of Insect Flower to unlimited audience, this exhibition is once again opened for the benefit of the public.
